John Bolton confirmed that he’s planning on voting for Democratic nominee Joe Biden in the November general election, speaking in a Sunday interview with the Daily Telegraph.

Bolton has promoted himself within the conservative movement for years, after his original service in government as George W. Bush’s Ambassador to the United Nations. It appears his routine of yearly CPAC speeches and nominal conservatism was little more than a ruse- a trick intended to ingratiate himself with Republican voters and conservative activists with hopes of promoting a liberal internationalist warhawk and regime-change agenda.

“In 2016 I voted for Trump over Hillary Clinton,” Bolton told the Telegraph. “Now, having seen this president up close, I cannot do this again. My concern is for the country, and he does not represent the Republican cause that I want to back.”

The fired former White House National Security Advisor has reinvented himself as an anti-Trump commentator less than a year after being fired by the President, laughably changing his evaluation of the President’s job performance after heaping praises on him for years.

Bolton has been making the rounds with a supposedly tell-all book detailing sensational accounts he claims to have been made privy to during his time in the Trump administration. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo released a statement slamming Bolton’s claims as little more than “outright falsehoods,” and the federal government is currently investigating possible unauthorized releases of classified information in Bolton’s book. The longtime neocon could face possible legal or civil repercussions from the release of the book, which he declined to clear with the White House.
