Brittany Hughes of MrcTV reported that Immigration and Customs Enforcement issued a detainer for a 20-year-old illegal alien hailing from El Salvador, currently enrolled at a high school in Montgomery County, Maryland.

The illegal received charges for raping an 11-year-old girl off-campus sometime in 2019.

Similarly, another migrant, a 19-year-old Honduran man also enrolled at a school in Montgomery County, has received charges for raping an 11-year-old girl in another incident.

According to a WJLA report, 20-year-old Jonathan Coreas-Salamanca attended Montgomery Blair High School in Silver Spring, where two weeks ago he was arrested for allegedly having sexual encounters with an 11-year-old girl.

Police reported that the victim’s father discovered graphic text messages on a phone that Coreas-Salamanca secretly gave his daughter. In the messages, the illegal alien described the encounters and gave her advice on how she could improve her sexual performance.

In the other incident, authorities apprehended 19-year-old Ivan Reyes Lopez on February 19, 2020, and charged him with allegedly luring another 11-year-old girl from a park back to his family’s apartment in Silver Spring, where police claim he raped her. Lopez didn’t deny the encounter, but he informed the police that his encounter with the young girl was “consensual,” according to the WJLA report.

ICE related to WJLA that Coreas-Salamanca was illegally in the country and was issued an ICE detainer. The report didn’t provide specific details about Lopez’s legal status in America. However, the report did note that Lopez emigrated from Honduras three years ago and turned to the services of a Spanish-speaking translator in court.

The court documents showed that Coreas-Salamanca was residing in the 7700 block of 25th Avenue in Adelphi, Maryland. U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement reported that the Salvadoran national was living in the U.S. illegally. Lopez, on the other hand, emigrated from Honduras about three years ago. He was living with his uncle in an apartment around the 8800 block of Lanier Drive in Silver Spring.

Given Lopez’s recent arrival America as a teenager and how he was living with a family member when he was arrested, it could be inferred that he may have arrived to America as an unaccompanied minor.

A spokesperson for the Montgomery County School District, which has built a reputation for being a sanctuary for illegal aliens, brushed aside concerns that the 19- and 20-year-old men were enrolled in high schools.

“There is no data suggesting that being a high school student at 19, 20, or 21 makes a person more or less likely to commit a crime,” spokeswoman Gboyinde Onijala said in email correspondence with 7 On Your Side. “Any suggestion otherwise is wrong and trying to make a connection there to students enrolled in our district is wrong.”

Jennifer Gross, a resident of Montgomery County resident and mother, disagreed with Onijala’s claim. She is worried that adult men are attending public schools with children as young as 13.

“Will they be allowed to return to the classroom? Will they be allowed to be back in general education public high school?” Gross inquired. “These are adult men. They are over the age of 18 and simply because you’re enrolled in MCPS schools — or any other school system — does not change the fact that you’re legally an adult.”

Coreas-Salamanca is potentially facing 55 years in prison for his repeated sexual encounters with a minor, while Lopez faces 20 years for his single rape charge.
