The American Left is out to destroy the social fabric of our country, as several trends in recent years suggest.
Thanks to Barack Obama, American Leftists began hating on local police, accusing them of “murdering” black people and generally trampling on people’s rights.
Left-wing prosecutors are refusing to enforce local ordinances under the guise of “social justice” and “criminal justice reform” — policies that are already leading to increased crime rates in major cities like Philadelphia and New York City.
So-called “flash mobs” of violent teens who roam the streets randomly attacking people are now common.
Scores of people have been assaulted in “knockout game” attacks.
And now, a developing phenomenon: Mobs of thieves who storm businesses and steal everything they can get their hands on.
What’s more, an alarming number of these thieves haven’t even reached puberty yet.
As CWB Chicago reports:
Organized shoplifting teams, some taking advantage of children who appeared to be no more than 10-years-old, struck retailers repeatedly this weekend in the Loop, Magnificent Mile, and Lincoln Park, according to police reports.
One crew pepper-sprayed a retail worker. Last Wednesday, another theft team slammed a store employee’s head into a glass merchandise case.
For those who haven’t been to Chicago, the Magnificent Mile is full of higher-end retail stores. This part of the city is the polar opposite of the parts of ChiTown that are shooting galleries and death zones.
CWB Chicago notes further that this new theft phenomenon is something retailers are having to deal with more and more frequently. Often, the shoplifting team organizers use juveniles as their operators. Some businesses in North Side including Forever 21, H&M, DSW, Ulta Beauty, Burlington, and Patagonia have been hit repeatedly, and sometimes twice within a few hours’ time.

Just recently, bystanders spotted a team of six teenage shoplifters at the Michigan Avenue Victoria’s Secret store only minutes after they hit a nearby H&M location. Police managed to arrest a couple members of the theft squad after a retail store manager ID’ed them.
Officers involved in hunting down the teams of thieves have reported some members appear to be as young as 10 years old. The organizers know these kids are juveniles and aren’t going to jail. Most probably won’t even wind up in trouble at all, unless they get caught multiple times.
Shoplifting mobs have also struck in malls. CBS Minnesota reported in July that one of them managed to swipe $30,000 worth of merchandise from a story in mere minutes. (Related: Portland descending into chaos as Leftists take the streets with mayor, cops, AWOL.)
“Local police [said] the ‘flash mob’ of 10 men entered the store about an hour before its scheduled closing time, filled their arms with performance jackets and ran out of the building to at least three getaway cars,” the news team reported.
Surveillance video in the store shows that it took the mob only about 20 seconds to steal that much stuff.
