In the aftermath of Walmart and Kroger announcing their plans to stop customers from open carrying in their stories, retail giants Walgreens, CVS and Wegmans have jumped on board with the corporate take-down of the 2nd Amendment and announced similar policies.

“We are joining other retailers in asking our customers to no longer openly carry firearms into our stores other than authorized law enforcement officials,” Walgreens announced in an emailed statement.

“We join a growing chorus of businesses in requesting that our customers, other than authorized law enforcement personnel, do not bring firearms into our stores,” CVS announced.

Wegmans was more squishy in their proclamation in favor of gun control inside their stores, refusing to outright ban open carry while imploring their customers not to do so.

“There’s nothing more important than the safety of our customers & employees. The sight of someone with a gun can be alarming, and we don’t want anyone to feel that way at Wegmans. For this reason, we prefer that customers not openly carry firearms into our stores,” Wegmans announced in a post on Twitter.

These corporations at war with gun rights have provided ammo to Moms Demand Action, the astroturfed gun control group that is funded by leftist mega-billionaire Michael Bloomberg.

“We hope Senate leaders are watching this sea change” Moms Demand Action founder Shannon Watts said in response to the open carry bans.

“We’ll take this momentum to Washington when Congress is back from recess on Monday,” she added.
