A 6.3 magnitude earthquake has been recorded 170 miles off the coast of Oregon.
The quake occurred on Thursday not long after 11am.
The US Geological Survey recorded the earthquake but there is not thought to be a threat of a tsunami.
How strongly it was felt on shore is unclear.
