Nadler Subpoenas Justice Department For Unredacted Version of Mueller Report – With Underlying Grand Jury Evidence

House Judiciary Chairman Jerry Nadler (D-NY) Friday subpoenaed the Justice Department for the full, unredacted version of Mueller’s report, including the underlying grand jury evidence and testimony.
Rep. Nadler is one of the select members of Congress who is allowed to view a less redacted version of Mueller’s report, however it still won’t include grand jury evidence and testimony.
The subpoena demands the documents by May 1st, reported Politico.
“My committee needs and is entitled to the full version of the report and the underlying evidence consistent with past practice,” Nadler said in a statement. “Even the redacted version of the report outlines serious instances of wrongdoing by President Trump and some of his closest associates. It now falls to Congress to determine the full scope of that alleged misconduct and to decide what steps we must take going forward.”
Nadler also accused Bill Barr on Friday of ‘whitewashing’ Mueller’s report with redactions.
Rep. Doug Collins, a top Republican Congressman on the Judiciary Committee said Nadler’s subpoena is seeking documents that “by law, can’t be shared outside of the Justice Department.”
