The Democrats are using their border wall fight with President Trump to attack the 2nd Amendment.
On Thursday, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi attacked the 2nd Amendment after McConnell confirmed President Trump was going to declare a national emergency to secure funding to build a wall on the southern border.
Pelosi warned Republicans that the next president could declare a national emergency on guns.
“A Democratic president can declare emergencies, as well,” Pelosi told reporters in the Capitol. “So the precedent that the president is setting here is something that should be met with great unease and dismay by the Republicans.”
On Friday morning, far-left US Senator Chris Murphy (D-CT) doubled down on Nancy Pelosi’s gun grabbing comments.
CHRIS MURPHY: 100 people die from guns every day. That’s a national emergency. If Trump gets away w this border emergency declaration, then a Dem President can declare a gun violence emergency and institute universal background checks and an assault weapons ban by executive action. So…
