Soros NGO blocks Traditional Family, Marriage Referendum

Billionaire George Soros, again, attempts to interfere in the democratic process of yet another country, not his.
Amnesty International, a Soros-funded NGO, is trying to block a ‘traditional family’ referendum in Romania. They are taking legal action against a referendum set to define marriage as between a man and a woman.
Prompted by a public petition with the ‘Coalition for Family’ having gathered three million signatures in favour of an amendment to Article 48 of the Romanian constitution, the referendum was prompted to decide that the foundation of the family is a marriage between “a man and a woman” rather than “spouses”.
Romanian senators “overwhelmingly” voted for the proposals and a public referendum is set for 7 October, EurActiv reports. However, Amnesty has said they intend to take legal action in the Constitutional Court to attempt to prevent the Romanian people from deciding for themselves on the definition of marriage.
Amnesty say this could result in a “clear backward step for Romania” and have a “severe impact on the lives of families not based on marriage”.
Therefore, Amnesty, who are not Romanian citizens, are attempting to impose their arbitrary and subjective definition on the Romanian people.
“The mooted referendum to change the definition of family in Romania’s constitution could lead to a breach of international human rights standards and pander to homophobic discrimination in the country,” Amnesty told AFP.
“The consequence is likely to be further restrictions of private and family life of same-sex couples and discrimination in every-day life,” they added.
