A dispute between two migrant women escalated out of control in Berlin, Journalistenwatch reports. The conflict took place in Berlin-Gesundbrunnen, an area that is already seen as ‘dangerous’.
After two women in their twenties started fighting, around 50 people chose sides and a massive street battle ensued.
Three streets were completely closed off as the police got caught between the two sides. The officers had to request more patrol cars to separate the groups.
About thirty policemen with nine vehicles and a service dog unit were called to bring the situation under control. The Wiesenstraße, Hochstraße and Court Street were temporarily closed to traffic because of the situation.
During the fight, ten people surrounded one police officer, harassing and shoving him, injuring him slightly.
Eight lawsuits were filed for assault, breach of the peace and resistance to law enforcement officers.
