A handcuffed Harvey Weinstein was escorted by two police officers as he faced a judge in Manhattan Criminal Court on Monday.

The disgraced movie executive, 66, looked gaunt and haggard as he entered a plea of not guilty following his indictment on multiple new counts of sexual assault.

Among the new charges were two counts of Predatory Sexual Assault, one stemming for an alleged assault in 2006 and the other in 2013.

Each count of Predatory Sexual Assault carries a minimum sentence of 10 years in prison and a maximum of life behind bars.

Weinstein is now facing six counts of sexual assault in his criminal case, which was continued until September 20, at which time the judge will decide on any motions submitted by the prosecution and defense teams.

Despite the three additional charges, Weinstein’s bail arrangement was not changed and he was allowed to return to his home in Connecticut.

Meanwhile, criminal records obtained by DailyMail.com from the New York State Unified Court System show that Weinstein will been charged with nine counts, three of which he will not be indicted for until September.

Weinstein arrived in court on Monday with a bodyguard just after 8:30am, a full hour before he was due to appear before the judge.

His attorney, Ben Brafman arrived in court approximately 20 minutes later, entering the building solo.

‘We fight these battles one day at a time, and today we won this round,’ said

Also stopping by to observe the proceedings was Gloria Allred, who has represented a number of Weinstein’s accusers – including one of the victims in the criminal case.

It is unclear if the name of this third woman will be revealed in court on Monday, or if she will petition the court for a protective order to keep her identity a secret during the proceedings.

Weinstein was certainly in a far less jovial mood than back in May, when he was seen smiling and laughing as he turned himself into to be booked and charged on the initial three counts in the case.

He did bring along a book though, just as he did during his first appearance in court two months ago. This time around he selected the William Wyler biography A Talent for Trouble.
