The Hawaii volcano, Mount Kilauea, continues to spew lava across Big Island as it enters its second month of eruptions.
Shocking new video footage captured by Paradise Helicopters reveals the enormous power with which lava continues to blast through Fissure 8.
It also shows lava flows coming within feet of occupied homes.
The video comes after two huge new cracks opened up close to Fissure 10 at the corner of Pomaikai and Malama.
Several other fissures also burst into life over the weekend, causing plumes of toxic smoke to spread over the western part of the island.
Lava was spotted erupting from Fissures 16 and 22 which emerged on Friday, as Fissure 8 continues to erupt raging lava flowing to the Kapoho ocean.
The Hawaii Fire Department were also called at 12.15pm local time on Saturday after high levels of heat in the region sparked a raging bush fire near Puuanahulu, causing Highway 190 to remain closed.
Highway 190 was closed for a few hours although the road is now open for vehicles, but officials warned locals to take caution.
Pele’s hair and volcanic gas fragments continue to threaten Big Island, as trade wins are expected to carry lava particles several metres from Kilauea’s vent.
