RUSSIA is set to expel British diplomats from the country after Theresa May banished 23 of Vladimir Putin’s Kremlin officials yesterday.

Russia will kick British diplomats from the country in a show of provocation, one day after Theresa May announced the same decision, state-run news agency RIA said.
The Russian foreign minister this morning said the British response to the Salisbury spy attack was “irresponsible” and “not based on evidence”.
And in a chilling threat, Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov added: “Our response will come soon – I promise you that.”
When asked whether Russia is planning to kick British diplomats out of the country, Mr Lavrov replied “definitely”.
Mr Lavrov later said Russia first tell Britain about any retaliatory measures against London in the spy case before revealing them to the wider public.
He repeated Moscow’s position on the case, saying British allegations against Russia were “absolutely boorish.”
He said: “You do understand that we, as polite people, will first deliver our response to the British counterparts.
“This is, in my view, is being polite, this is how gentlemen behave.
“Proposals will be worked out by the Foreign Ministry and other agencies, but it is indeed the president who will make the final decision.”
