A 6.6 MAGNITUDE earthquake has struck off the coast of Loreto in Mexico amid fears of the Big One striking in the Gulf of California.

The quake struck off the coast of Loreto in the Mexican state of Baja California Sur, the US Geological Survey (USGS) has said.
The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) said there was no danger of a tsunami on the West Coast of the US.
The epicenter of the quake was 10kms below the surface.
