Kim Jong-un has brainwashed an entire platoon of soldiers which he could deploy as suicide bombers, a defector has said.
The army of ‘robots’, as they were described, live and die for the hermit nation’s dictator and would be prepared to do anything for him.
Despite the constant nuclear missile tests, the former North Korean resident said the country’s army was not strong enough to wage a full-scale war, but Kim’s indoctrinated troops are ready to ‘infiltrate the free world’ as terrorist martyrs.
Joo-il Kim told the Express: ‘They were picked by the military leaders and nurtured to be weapons and terrorists.
‘They are just brainwashed, they just believe what they are told. No-one knows what they are doing.
‘They live and they die for Kim Jong-un. That’s what they believe in. They are like robots, they don’t think for themselves.’
It comes as speculation surfaced of the dictator killing off his government officials in what could be a purge among Pyongyang’s top brass.
The defector, who now lives in South London, also issued a stark warning over how the bombs used by the self-slaughtering soldiers could be much more advanced than the nail bombs usually detonated by terrorists.
Joo-il Kim said North Korea has been trying to limit the size of their chemical weapons in what many believe is an attempt to make them light enough to be carried on missiles.
But the defector believes miniature nuclear weapons would be slipped into a backpack and detonated in a catastrophic attack.
The isolated nation appears on the surface to be developing a multi-pronged army capable of mass destruction and chaos.
Britain today publicly named the shadowy North Korea cyber crime group it believes was responsible for the WannaCry ransomware attack which crippled parts of the NHS.
The Foreign Office said the National Cyber Security Centre had assessed that it was ‘highly likely’ the attack in May was the work of cyber criminals known as the Lazarus Group.
Security Minister Ben Wallace has previously said the Government believed ‘quite strongly’ that a foreign state was behind the the attack, naming North Korea as the main suspects.
In the latest statement, the Foreign Office Minister Lord Ahmad of Wimbledon said: ‘The UK’s National Cyber Security Centre assesses it is highly likely that North Korean actors known as the Lazarus Group were behind the WannaCry ransomware campaign – one of the most significant to hit the UK in terms of scale and disruption.
‘We condemn these actions and commit ourselves to working with all responsible states to combat destructive criminal use of cyber space.
‘The indiscriminate use of the WannaCry ransomware demonstrates North Korean actors using their cyber programme to circumvent sanctions.’
Computer systems in around 150 countries around the the world – including dozens of NHS trusts in the UK – were caught up in the attack, which saw screens frozen with a warning that they would not be unlocked unless a ransom was paid.
