California fires map latest: Los Angeles warned as wildfires head towards US city

he map shows that the rampaging Thomas Fire is now surrounding Ojai – a city loved by spiritual seekers, health enthusiasts and celebrities.
The National Weather Service Los Angeles tweeted: “Here is the latest unofficial burn area of the Thomas Fire as of 11pm PST as indicated by satellite.”
The red colours on the map represent the latest fire activity, which has affected highways 33 and 150 in the area.
Hot, dry Santa Ana winds are expected to fan several relentless wildfires in southern California on Thursday, where hundreds of houses have burned.
Tens of thousands have fled their homes around Los Angeles, the second-largest US city which lies 50 miles (80 km) north-east of Ventura County.
