NORTH KOREA must believe Donald Trump is ready to go to war, according to a political analyst outlining the US President’s potential plan to deal with the rogue state.

North Korea sparked fears of World War 3 after it continued its international condemned intercontinental ballistic missile testing.
US President Donald Trump threatened to “destroy” the hermit nation and has used his tour of Asia to continue to mount pressure on Kim Jong-un to halt his nuclear ambitions.
The American also hinted he would be willing to start negotiations with North Korea in order to find a diplomatic solution to the crisis.
However, Mr Trump must maintain the appearance that he is ready to go to war at the drop of a hat, according to a political analyst.
Fox News’ Pete Hegseth warned North Korea will not come to the negotiating table unless they genuinely fear the US President is genuinely ready to decimate the hermit nation.
Hegseth said: “You don’t do so to in order to ratchet up a nuclear conflict, you do so to tell the Kim Jong-un regime you will go no further.
“That’s why the President wanted to go to the DMZ, he wants to say ‘we will go to war if necessary, to prevent living nuclear blackmail from you.’
“We would prefer diplomacy, we avoid war, that’s how you avoid death and how this is ultimately resolved.
