The US President will be dining with Chinese premier Xi Jinping in a groundbreaking visit – with the nuclear crisis to set to the top the agenda.

Ahead of Trump’s visit it is reported Beijing seized 10 North Korean citizens in the northeast part of the country.

Activists claim China has been cracking down on North Korean defectors – arresting “dozens” and deporting them.

China shares a border with North Korea on its eastern frontier, with the two nations being traditional allies.

Trump is expected to demand President Xi take a tougher line on Kim in an effort to stop his quest for ICBMs.

The most recent arrests happened on Saturday in the Shenyang region of China.

Ten people – including a three-year-old boy – were seized by Chinese authorities, reports CNN.

South Korea’s unification ministry, which keeps track of defectors, has been unable to confirm the report.
