Trump nudged them to pass skinny repeal in a tweet this morning: ‘Come on Republican Senators, you can do it on Healthcare’

President Donald Trump urged his party to repeal Obamacare this morning as Republican leadership scrambled to win over votes for a ‘skinny’ bill that would throw the issue to a Senate-House of Representatives negotiating committee.

‘Come on Republican Senators, you can do it on Healthcare. After 7 years, this is your chance to shine! Don’t let the American people down!’ Trump tweeted early Thursday morning.

Senate Republicans begin their final push today to unravel Obamacare, seeking to wrap up their seven-year offensive against former Democratic President Barack Obama’s signature healthcare law that extended insurance coverage to millions.
