Dramatic Manchester raids continue – ‘Explosions’ as police swoop on Rusholme and Gorton
POLICE hunting for the accomplices of Manchester suicide bomber Salman Abedi launched twin raids in Rusholme and Gorton yesterday afternoon.

Greater Manchester Police confirmed two warrants were executed by officers yesterday afternoon and a 19-year-old arrested in Gorton during the raids.
Images from the scene show police cars and riot vans carrying armed officers parked in a residential street, believed to be Mount Road in Gorton.
Officers taped off a section of Searby Road between Aylesby Avenue and Manby Road during the raids.
One eyewitness said: “I live about halfway down the street and the house shook so it must have been big.
“The kids in the street started screaming.
“Police were already on the scene and bomb disposal had gone through.
“Police just told us not to go anywhere near the scene.”
