THE MP for Aleppo has hit out at Donald Trump’s “stupid” missile strikes on a Syrian government airbase, vowing his country would now “act accordingly”.

Fares Shehabi called the strikes “illegal” and said Nato countries had “no morals” during the heated rant on BBC Radio 4’s World at One on Friday.
The US action on Bashar al-Assad’s Sharat airbase in Homs comes after a fatal chemical attack in Idlib on Tuesday, which killed at least 80 people.
Mr Shehabi denied any government involvement and blasted: “This [the missile strikes] is a stupid act of aggression against a sovereign state.
“This is an act against an airport that is solely dedicated to fighting ISIS in Syria. And this attack is illegal, it’s stupid.”
He said the strike would only help ISIS and “gangs” operating in the region.
Mr Shehabi continued: “This attack proves to us there are no morals at Nato countries, there’s no evidence, we asked to provide us with solid evidence that we use chemical weapons.
“The US Obama administration itself said we don’t have anymore.
“Look, we will continue our fight against terrorism and we will consider any soldier that steps foot in our country without our permission an invasion and we will act accordingly.”
