Terrorist groups killed more than 200 people across the Middle East and North Africa since Friday, in an unprecedented slew of global attacks.

The highest profile attack killed 39 people outside of a popular Istanbul soccer stadium, wounding another 155. The attack utilized two remotely detonated car bombs, which have been a signature tactic of the Kurdish Workers Party.

“The evidence so far points to the PKK, the ministry has some of the information on framework about how it was planned and organized but for the sake of the investigation please forgive that I won’t share any details, “Turkish Interior Minister Süleyman Soylu told reporters Saturday.

Another deadly attack struck at the heart of Egypt’s coptic christian community at a Sunday morning mass, killing 25 and wounding nearly 50. Egyptian authorities told reporters almost all the victims were women and children. Egypt’s christian community has been targeted in the past by elements of the Islamic State, fighting in the western Sinai peninsula.
