Trump Confirms Considering Appointment of General Mattis as Pentagon Chief

US President-elect Donald Trump confirmed on Sunday that he has been considering retired Marine Corps Gen. James Mattis for the post of the head of Pentagon.

MOCSOW (Sputnik) — The president-elect has been reportedly meeting people at his golf club in Bedminster, New Jersey, and is expected to announce a new appointment to his administration-in-waiting. Only few of the key jobs have been filed so far.

“General James “Mad Dog” Mattis, who is being considered for Secretary of Defense, was very impressive yesterday. A true General’s General!” Trump said viw his Twitter account.
