Russian President Vladimir Putin has warned Norway that it has made itself an enemy of Russia by allowing the deployment of US troops on its land.
Frants Klintsevich, a deputy chairman of Russia’s defence and security committee, warned that Russia will now consider using nuclear weapons against Norway as the deployment of 330 US marines was an obvious provocation towards World War 3.

“This is very dangerous for Norway and Norwegians,” he said.
“How should we react to this? We have never before had Norway on the list of targets for our strategic weapons. But if this develops, Norway’s population will suffer,” he warned.
