Minnesota knife attacker ‘was soldier of Islamic State”
A KNIFEMAN who stabbed eight people in a Minnesota shopping mall while shouting “Allah” was “a soldier of the Islamic State”, the jihadist group’s news agency has claimed.

ISIS-affiliated media outlet Amaq released a statement claiming responsibility for the attack at the Crossroads centre in the city of St Cloud last night.
Eight people suffered non life threatening injuries when a man in a security guard outfit went on a bloody rampage just after 8pm local time on Saturday, or 2.15am today in the UK.
Police in St Cloud said the attacker was heard “making references to Allah” and asked at least one victim if he was Muslim before stabbing him.
The knifeman was eventually shot dead by an off duty police officer inside a Macy’s store.
Amaq’s statement read: “The executor of the stabbing attacks in Minnesota yesterday was a soldier of the Islamic State and carried out the operation in response to calls to target the citizens of countries belonging to the crusader coalition.”
