Islamic swimsuit had already disturbed public order”.
Speaking in court yesterday she said: “According to the State Council’s ruling, a burkini ban like the one in Nice can be maintained if the burkini poses a considerable risk to public order.
“In Nice’s case, not only is there a considerable risk, but the public order has already been threatened.”
Nice is a “wounded town” and “its entire population is traumatised and on the verge of a civil war,” the anti-burkini lawyer told the court.
Ms de Faÿ added: “The beach is right below the Promenade des Anglais, where the Islamic State attack took place, and is where people hid from the terrorist on July 14th.”
The Nice administrative court decided today the ban should be listed despite Ms de Faÿ’s protestations.
