BREAKING: Huge explosion rocks Turkish capital of Ankara

A MASSIVE explosion has rocked the Turkish capital of Ankara, just days after the army attempted to carry out a coup.

Photos posted on social media show thick black smoke drifting across the city’s skyline.

Commercial aircraft are now avoiding the airspace around the city, according to local press.

However, one journalist at the scene believes the source of the smoke could simply be a house fire.
