The University of California Los Angeles campus has been put into lockdown today after two people were shot on campus.

Armed police were called to the school at around 10am to reports of a shooter near to Engineering 4 and Boelter Hall on the south of campus.

At least two people have been wounded, police have confirmed, while the shooter is still reported to be on the loose.

The condition of the victims is not known, and it is also unknown exactly where they were shot.

The shooter was described as a white male, around 6ft tall wearing a black jacket and black pants.
