Donald Trump recommitted himself to veterans’ issues this afternoon as he spoke before the Rolling Thunder biker rally in Washington at the Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool.

‘Our veterans have been treated so badly in this country,’ Trump scoffed, vowing that under his presidency the country would do better.

‘And in many cases illegal immigrants are taken care – are taken much better care of by this country … than our veterans,’ the GOP presumptive nominee said, slightly stammering, and linking his speech to his signature campaign issue of illegal immigration.

‘And that’s not going to happen. And that’s not going to happen. I’m not going to allow that to happen any longer,’ Trump said.

Trump’s appearance was before a huge amount of bikers and supporters, in Washington, D.C. for the Memorial Day holiday, and many of them couldn’t even get in.

Rolling Thunder, a biker group whose main mission is to make sure every soldier missing in action is accounted for along with prisoners of war, takes over Washington, D.C. every Memorial Day with a motorcycle ride that starts at the Pentagon and ends at the Lincoln Memorial.

‘You’re very good at real estate,’ Trump told those who made it through security and down near the stage.

He boasted that there were ‘600.000 people here.’
