NEW London mayor Sadiq Khan has blasted Donald Trump’s offer to excuse him from his proposed ban on Muslims.

The Labour politician, who was last week elected the capital’s first Muslim mayor, accused the US presidential hopeful of making both the UK and America “less safe” due to his “ignorant” view of Islam.
Mr Trump, who is now near-certain to be the Republican candidate for November’s US presidential election, has vowed to ban all Muslims from America should he win power.
But the billionaire backtracked on his campaign promise by insisting he would make an ‘exception’ for Mr Khan following his election to London’s City Hall.
It came after Mr Khan said he would have to arrange a visit to meet American mayors to exchange ideas before January’s presidential inauguration, in case Mr Trump moved into the White House.
