House Speaker Paul Ryan will deliver remarks at 3:15 p.m. today to ‘rule himself out of the presidential race and put this to rest once and for all.’
Ryan’s name has been brought up again and again as someone who could unite the Republican party amid a contested convention this summer in Cleveland, Ohio.
Last week Politico fanned the flames of a Ryan-topped Republican insurgency, reporting that insiders are predicting the House Speaker will be nominated by the GOP on the convention’s fourth ballot.
