The Republican frontrunner blasted America’s counterparts at a campaign rally in Wisconsin, ordering them to “pay up”.
He said allies in NATO “are not paying their fair share” before branding the 28-nation “obsolete”.
The brazen billionaire said: “Either they pay up, including for past deficiencies, or they have to get out. And if it breaks up NATO, it breaks up NATO.”
Mr Trump has frequently blasted NATO in recent weeks as the Republican nomination race for the White House has heated up.
His comments come despite calls from Barack Obama to tone down his remarks on foreign policy.
