BREAKING: At least five dead after ‘car bomb’ rips through Turkish military barracks

AT least five people have been killed and ten injured after an explosion hit the Turkish capital Ankara.

Early reports suggest a car bomb targeted a military barracks close to the Turkish parliamentary building and several other government buildings.

Ankara’s governor said at least five people have been killed and 10 injured by a car bombing.

Civilians have fled nearby metro stations as emergency services put the area under lockdown.

The explosion is believed to have taken place during rush hour as a bus carrying military personnel was passing by.
