Putin’s NUCLEAR threat to US – Russia to build ‘missiles to penetrate’ America’s defences
VLADIMIR Putin has launched an astonishing attack on the United States – claiming it is plotting against Russia and attempting to neutralise its nuclear capabilities.

The Russian president used a meeting in Sochi dedicated to military development to hit out at America “and its allies” and insisted he would respond by developing weapons that would “penetrate any missile defence shield”.
Mr Putin said: “References to Iran and North Korea nuclear threats are just a cover for the true purpose (of NATO missile defence).
“That is to neutralise the potential of other nuclear states not the US or its allies – primarily Russia.”
After declaring Moscow would take the “necessary measures to respond by strengthening its own missile defence”, the president added: “And at the first stage we are also going to develop strike weapons that can penetrate any missile defence shield.”
That is in response to America’s defence plans recently upgraded by President Barack Obama.
Mr Putin has been in direct confrontation with Mr Obama’s administration over Russia’s invasion of the Crimea.
Sanctions were placed on the eastern superpower in response to that.
Tensions escalated when Russia entered the war in Syria to take on Islamic State (ISIS) forces, with America insisting Mr Putin was merely attempting to prop up the country’s under-fire leader Bashar al-Assad.
