Progressives in government at all levels have bent over backwards to ensure that anyone who wants to vote gets to vote – even if they have never become citizens or have lost their right to vote by abusing civil society through the commission of crimes.
President Obama is a huge backer of both of these initiatives, as evidenced here and here.
But the president has become increasingly hostile to other rights held by Americans whose only “crime” was to get older.
The elderly – and our veterans, too
As reported by the Washington Times, the president is engaged in his largest anti-gun push ever, and he is using the Social Security Administration to do his dirty work. According to the paper, the White House wants to ban Social Security beneficiaries from owning firearms if they supposedly lack the capacity to manage their own disability payments, in a move that the National Rifle Association has deemed the “largest gun grab in American history.”
