Russia to Station its Deadliest Submarine Near Alaska

Russia is expected to finish the construction of a submarine base on the Kamchatka Peninsula by the end of October, the Diplomat reported, citing USNI News.

Located near Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky, the capital city of Russia’s Kamchatka Region, the new Rybachiy submarine base will become the new homeport of Russia’s most advanced Borei-class (also known as Dolgorukiy-class), Project 955, fourth-generation submarines.
