Nation of Islam leader Louis Farrakhan delivered yet another fiery speech, telling followers at a recent Chicago address that they ought to quit the U.S. military and come home to their own communities to fight against their black oppressors.
Whites have historically oppressed blacks, he said, and a reckoning is coming for those of the Caucasian race to pay for the “iniquities of their fathers,” the Nation of Islam publication Final Call reported.
He went on: “When a man has done that kind of evil, they are long gone and dead, but they’ve produced offspring and it doesn’t seem like the offspring are better than those that did the evil because the children are doing the same things as their fathers.”
He pointed to the police shooting of Ferguson teen Michael Brown as proof. Brown, 18, was killed by officer Darren Wilson in an act of self-defense, but some civil-rights activists still insist the shooting was based on racial hatred. To Farrakhan, the shooting is just one more example of white oppression of blacks, the Daily Caller reported.
So he’s pleading with followers to take action.
“I’m calling on all of the soldiers that fight for America, come home and let’s unite and fight for our lives since the federal government refuses to fight for us. We must fight for ourselves,” he said, the news outlet reported.
