“It’s an oppressive organization now controlled by the one percent of corporate America. Corporate America is using police forces as their mercenaries.”
Ferguson, Mo. – Retired Philadelphia Police Captain, Ray Lewis, has a message for America. In a recent interview, Lewis makes it known that gone are the days of the police working for the people.
According to Lewis,
“It’s an oppressive organization now controlled by the one percent of corporate America. Corporate America is using police forces as their mercenaries.”
Lewis gained notoriety when he crossed the blue line and came out to demonstrate in full uniform at the Occupy Wall St. protests and was arrested along with hundreds of others.
Lewis has called out law enforcement on their overly aggressive tactics saying,
“You should, by law, only use force to protect someone’s life or to protect them from being bodily injured. If you’re not protecting somebody’s life or protecting them from bodily injury, there’s no need to use force.”
