Obama bureaucrat Sylvia Burwell, who took the mantle at Health and Human Services from incompetent Kathleen Sebelius, told the Today Show the federal government is “doing everything we can to protect health care workers” from exposure to the deadly Ebola virus.
This is patently untrue. The government is doing virtually nothing to protect health care workers. In fact, government policy is making certain the disease spreads in the United States. Government facilitates the spread of the disease by allowing people from West Africa to enter the country.
It has responded to criticism by measuring the temperature of travelers arriving from Africa. “Is this going to help stop Ebola from coming into the country? Highly, highly, highly unlikely,” remarked Dr. Jay Keystone, a senior staff physician at Toronto General Hospital’s tropical disease unit. He characterized the government effort as “optics to make the country feel safer.” In other words, it is a public relations stunt.
