ANTARCTICA – A strong 6.2 magnitude earthquake struck the ocean floor of the Drake Passage between South America and Antarctica at the shallow depth of 9.9 km (6.2 miles). The epicenter of the earthquake was 358 km (222 miles) SSE of Ushuaia, Tierra del Fuego, Argentina. The powerful quake is just the latest in a series of earthquakes that have rattled the globe since 8.6 and 8.2 magnitude earthquakes struck off the coast of North Sumatra, Indonesia. –The Extinction Protocol
