Ukraine Starts Drills in Black Sea Despite Russian Concerns Over Crimea Security

Ukraine launched early on Thursday two-days missile drills in the Black Sea, triggering Russian concerns over Crimean security.
MOSCOW (Sputnik) — On November 25, Russia’s Federal Agency for Air Transport (Rosaviatsiya) issued a statement, saying that Ukraine unilaterally decided to hold missile firing exercises in Russia’s airspace near Crimea on December 1-2. The initially announced boundaries of the “danger zone” in Ukrainian missile firing drills were extending into Russian territorial waters, which violated international and Russian laws.
It was also announced that the day before the Russian Defense Ministry had summoned Ukraine’s defense attache to hand him a military-diplomatic note protesting the introduction of illegal restrictions by the Ukrainian side on the use of airspace over the Black Sea during missile firing drills to the west of the Crimean peninsula coastline.
