The youths were so overcome with joy they started tossing rolls into the air, seemingly unable to believe their luck.
The poverty-stricken children’s gleeful reaction comes after a number of families have been forced to abandon their homes due to a lack of basic products following the collapse of the country’s economy.
Neighbouring countries such as Colombia and Peru have been targeted by people in desperate search of food and basic health services as their plight continues to grow.
These children are a part of one of the families forced to relocate to Peru as hard-hit Venezuelans have been reduced to sorting through rubbish to find food.
