Mitch McConnell Officially Refusing to “Drain the Swamp”

One of the main tenets of Donald Trump’s closing argument made during the last few weeks of the campaign was his pledge to “Drain the Swamp.”
Washington is broken because of the people who make the decisions within our government. Millions of Americans voted to give the GOP control of all three branches of government because Donald Trump promised to get rid of the corruption that is dragging us down.
A key part of this plan is the implementation of term limits for Congressmen and Senators. The logic behind it is simple: if the people running government are responsible for its problems, then it makes sense to limit the amount of time they can be in office.
So you can imagine my surprise to hear that Mitch McConnell is refusing to put term limit legislation up for a vote in the Senate…
Just two days ago, I wrote to you and said that Mitch McConnell deserves a chance. By declaring that term limit legislation was dead on arrival in the US Senate, that chance has expired. He has been in the Senate for more than 30 years. Are we really supposed to believe that after all this time, he has new ideas to bring to the table?
The American people deserve better! Send your FaxBlast to Congress and DEMAND they remove and replace all GOP leaders who refuse to “Drain the Swamp!”
I truly, in my heart of hearts, believe that the only way for us to move forward as a country is to ditch those who have been holding us back.
