The unnamed diplomat has reportedly fled from the Russian city of Vladivostok, close to Russia’s borders with North Korea and China.
And the hermit nation’s tubby tyrant will be seething as it is thought the high-ranking official escaped Kim’s clutches with his family.
But South Korean authorities have remained quiet on the matter and experts have warned that it has not yet been confirmed if the reports are true.
A source close to the apparent defector told South Korean media that the official was working in Vladivostok as a trade representative for the secretive country.
