An investment banker has committed suicide at his home during an FBI raid, just weeks after his wife also took her life in the couple’s bedroom.

Mark Sellers, 64, killed himself on Tuesday morning after he spotted as many as 20 federal agents and local police officers searching his home as part of what is believed to be an ongoing fraud investigation, the Kansas City Star reports.

The retired banker reportedly refused to open the door when police arrived, and then attempted to escape in his red Ford Explorer Limited.

But a neighbor said Sellers was not able to break through a perimeter set up around his mansion, which included police cars blocking the road, and he then turned a gun on himself.

‘There were cops running from behind and other cops who used [their] cars as a back group blocking him,’ R.J Campbell told the Daily Beast.
