Hungary Games: Local Mayor Threatens Migrants As Country Fences Off From EU

Hungarian authorities threaten to arrest refugees, while the country is building a fence on its border with Croatia to stem the flow of migrants and deploying hundreds of soldiers and police.

On Tuesday the mayor of Asotthalom, a small town on the Hungarian-Serbian border, posted a video message where he warned that anyone who attempted to illegally cross into the country would end up in prison.

“In Hungary starting September 15, crossing the border illegally will be a crime,” Laszlo Toroczkai said.
