One Dead, Two Shot in Attack on NSA HQ in Fort Meade

US officials confirm one person has been fatally shot on NSA property at Fort Meade in Maryland, while at least two others have been injured.
The incident occurred Monday morning after a vehicle tried to ram the gate of the facility. According to NBC News, a security guard got into an altercation with two men who were trying to enter the facility disguised as women. Police fired at the SUV, which was reportedly a stolen Ford Escape.
Speaking with ABC, US officials confirmed that one of the assailants was killed while the other was “severely injured.” An officer was also injured.
A Fort Meade spokeswoman, Mary Doyle, said two people are being treated for injuries.
Photos from local news outlets show what appears to be a dead body covered with a white sheet next to the damaged vehicle. According to NBC News, both a gun and drugs were found in the SUV.
