Russians say US weapons supplies to Ukraine could trigger global war — poll

Almost a quarter of those polled believe Moscow should take no action if weapons are supplied to Ukraine

MOSCOW, February 25. /TASS/. More than 40% of Russians believe that a global war could start if the United States supplied weapons to Ukraine, the All-Russia Public Opinion Research Centre said on Wednesday.

About 18% of the respondents said the civil war in Ukraine would continue if Washington delivered weapons to Kiev, the pollster said.

According to 23% of Russians, Moscow should take no action if weapons are supplied. Only 14% said that in this case Russia should help the militia in the self-proclaimed Donetsk and Luhansk People’s Republics.
