A supposedly errant airdrop of weapons falling into the hands Islamic State fighters outside Kobani in Syria was not a mistake.
IS has in its possession tons of armaments taken from retreating Iraqi forces and the latest haul does not add significantly to its arsenal. The terrorist army now has long-range artillery and thousands of automatic weapons courtesy of the United States and an inept and corrupt Iraqi military.
The latest infusion of weaponry was supposedly intended for Kurdish forces defending the besieged and strategically important Syrian city of Kobani near the Turkish border.
