Could you defend your family when the shit hits the fan?
Could your home sustain a flood, fire, tornado, or outside attack? There are a lot of threats in the world today and if you are going to survive, then your home needs to be prepared. Preparing your home will take some work, sure, but you will thank yourself, when, not if, the day comes.
The Initial Construction is Everything
One of the most important things when it comes to keeping your home safe in a hostile environment is the overall construction of the home.
The stronger the house, the more threats it can withstand. Simple as that.
The ideal home for protection is fashioned from a combination of both brick and wood frame construction. The brick gives it strength while the wood frame allows the house to flex a little if the weather ever demanded it. Total wood frame construction is no good, but if you are stuck with it then your best option is going to be a safe room.
