Disclaimer : No, I don’t think it’s the end of the world, but this is No Joke – unlike we’ve ever experienced before… and it’s going to be a very, very bumpy ride. I would like it if people knew not to go in the water, and not to eat anything from it. I would also like it if the media would pull it’s head out of BPs pocket and report what’s really going on.. but it doesn’t look like that’s happening soon.

A LOT of people here in the GOM seem to think that everything is back to normal. Swimming, letting their kids swim and play on the smelly sand. AND, they are getting sicker and sicker. Numerous reports from Nurses here tells the story of the true state of the Gulf. Chemical induced Pneumonia, nausea, headaches, you name it. But they will say it’s a “bug”. I just don’t get it, and frankly I don’t care to warn anyone anymore. Some of the Nurses I know are moving from here as patient loads increase. They are worried about their health. I also will be leaving, sooner if a OILCANE comes. Can you imagine the toxic mess it will bring? The “missing” oil will come, that’s a given. Along with dead animal remains and bones. Long after I go, I am certain of one thing, I will never forget my many friends who lived and perished in these waters and the suffering that will go on for many, many years.
